About The OwnerOriginally from Ohio, Brian Bennhoff has lived in New York City for fifteen years and has worked in commercial film production since 1990. Through his extensive experience, Brian offers a skilled approach in fulfilling the director’s vision while at the same time satisfying the client’s objectives. This has earned him an excellent reputation within film production communities in New York and elsewhere. Besides producing numerous projects out of New York City, Brian has also run productions in over twenty large- and mid-market cities throughout the country. These include familiar destinations such as Chicago, Atlanta, and Los Angeles, and more remote towns like Tupelo, Miss., Springfield, MO, and Portland, Maine. As a First Assistant Director with the DGA (Director's Guild of America), Brian is able to work simultaneously as both the line producer and A.D. When appropriate to the project, this arrangement can save clients the expense of hiring and traveling an additional crew member. Brian created Crooked River Productions in the fall of 2000 to begin producing television promos for the A&E Networks. Through Crooked River, Brian is able to call on his extensive network of vendors and crew developed during his many years as a freelancer. Day-to-day overhead is kept to a minimum and these savings are passed on to our clients. Finding creative ways to maximize a client’s budget is always the goal, and Brian draws on his experience and relationships to achieve that end. Recent notable Crooked River jobs include a five-day shoot for Methodist Hospital in Houston and a Bavaria Beer spot for a Dutch production company. Corporate work for Bank One has kept the company busy in both Chicago and New York, and TV promos for The History Channel, A&E and Oxygen Media are also on the company's resume. In
addition to running Crooked River, Brian is still active as a freelance
producer and can be contacted at brian@crookedriverproductions.com or
